About Me

Background

Hi, my name is Sierra Scali. I grew up in a small desert town called Joshua Tree, CA. There is not much to do other than explore the depths of your imagination and creativity. With that said, I used my free time to develop passions for playing softball, hiking, creating digital content, and watching football with my dad and younger brother.

Softball Years

I started playing softball at the age of 6 years old. My love and passion for softball is bigger than I can even describe. Playing softball allowed me to learn how to deal with failure and strive for success. My hardworking and determining attitude taught me time management skills and also value in the time you put in. When you’re playing softball as just a kid, you’re learning how to balance your time with practice, school, homework, lessons, friends, quiet time, family, church, other sports, extra curricular activities and games. My desire to work in sports stemmed from my passion with softball, I wanted to be a bigger part of the game. As a woman in sports, you want to appear strong and confident and softball taught me just that.

College Graduate

As a graduate from California Lutheran University, I have been given the opportunity to combine my B.A. in Communications with my underlying passion for multimedia creation. Savvy time management throughout my four-year collegiate softball career facilitated my ability to gain relevant internship experience in digital marketing and sports media content creation. I’m actively seeking mentorship and job opportunities in the aforementioned fields, and I believe that my Film/TV emphasis and Sports Management minor make me an ideal candidate in today’s converged era of communications.
